Perfect Your Autumn Look With This Chic Makeup Tutorial
Easy Autumn Makeup Tutorial
Fall is FINALLY here, which means it’s time for cozy sweaters, warm scarves, and cute boots. More importantly, it’s time to break out your fall makeup palettes! The quintessential autumn look is all about bold eyes and dark lips, so don’t be afraid to try something new (the more dramatic, the better!).
In this tutorial, I opted for a dark brown lip with a pretty bronze eyeshadow – it’s super flattering on every skin tone and perfect for day and night (so you can pair it with any of these day-to-night outfits!).
In this tutorial we use:
- Inglot Eye Makeup Base
- Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze
- Kryolan Eyeshadow Palette
- NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil
- Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Eye Liner Pencil
- Lash Sensational by Maybelline
- Smashbox Photo Finish primer
- Makeup Forever’s Ultra HD Foundation
- Ben Nye’s Luxury Powder
- L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Luminous Hydrating Lipstick in Plum Wine
- Sculpting Brow Mascara by Maybelline
Step 1: Apply Eyeshadow Primer
Eyeshadow primer is a must for keeping eyeshadow on all day! I used a mini blending sponge to apply Inglot Eye Makeup Base to the eyelids.
Step 2: Apply Bronze Shadow To Lids
Use an eyeshadow brush to apply this beautiful bronze color to your eyelids. I love Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze – its creamy texture makes it easy to apply, and it lasts all day.
Step 3: Define the Eyes
To give your eyelid some definition, opt for a pallet with lots of golds and browns. (I love the bold colors in the Kryolan Eyeshadow Palette!) For this autumn look, I’m using four colors on the palette: bronze, gold, brown, and black.
Step 4: Blend
I picked up the bronze and gold eyeshadow with the brush then I applied it to the center of your eyelids. Next, I blended a little brown and black eyeshadow on the back of my hand and apply it to the outer corners of the eye.
With a clean brush blend the colors on your eyelids. Use a large brush to dust off any excess shadow that may fall onto your cheeks.
Step 5: Highlight Brow Bones
To highlight the brow bone area, I used the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in white and blended out to sheer the product down.

Step 6: Apply Eyeliner and Mascara
Give your eyes, even more, definition by applying black eyeliner to the top and bottom lids. To make this the perfect day-to-night look, I chose a waterproof eyeliner by Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Eye Liner Pencil.
After curling the lashes I used black mascara to coat the lashes. We love Lash Sensational by Maybelline – it gives the effect of full lashes, no falsies necessary!
Step 7: Apply Foundation and Highlight
When applying foundation, using a primer helps for long-lasting wear so using a foundation brush, I applied a thin coat of Smashbox Photo Finish primer. (It’s a bestseller for a reason – it really smooths your skin and makes your foundation last all day!)
Next, I used a blending sponge to apply liquid foundation to your entire face. I love Makeup Forever’s Ultra HD Foundation because it’s super lightweight and it looks really good on photos and film. I also applied a highlighter to the cheekbones and the nose bridge to create dimension to the face.
Step 8: Set the Makeup
I dusted a translucent setting powder over the foundation. This step will seal your autumn look and keep it in place, I used Ben Nye’s Luxury Powder in Banana which is perfect for her skin tone.
Fun Fact: Did you that this is Kim Kardashian’s favorite setting powder? You’ll notice that she use this in her makeup tutorials.
Step 9: Apply Lipstick
The Autumn look is all about dark neutral colors, and this lip color is no exception! I love a brown lip for fall, so I opted for L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Luminous Hydrating Lipstick in Plum Wine, then I lined the lips with a deep red lip liner. (Do you have any favorite fall lip colors? Let us know!!)
Step 10: Fill in The Brows
I saved the best step for last! Filling in your brows is an absolute must. I used a tinted brow gel that sculpts and defines – Sculpting Brow Mascara by Maybelline.

For this look, you’ll need a neutral eyeshadow palette, a dark lipstick, and a great highlighter – which, by the way, is a whole new different talk altogether and I have just the one for you.
