The 26-year-old Moluccan cockatoo is known on his YouTube channel as the original Cluckatoo.
When spring comes to Canada, and Max is out on the patio in the warm sun, he is happy to express his joy with a good ‘Bok’.
Also called the salmon-crested cockatoo, the large species is highly intelligent and highly conspicuous with its characteristic flamingo-colored crest. It is legal to raise birds in captivity, but not to remove them from the wild.
They can live for 80 to 100 years, so Max will likely cluck like a chicken for many decades.
