A man in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was watching television last week when the WITI news team showed a photo of a dog that was available for adoption.
“Meet Mason,” the news segment began …
Dwight Gary took one look at the dog and said out loud, “No, that’s not Mason, it’s definitely Payday!”
He recognized the distinctive bite of his little black puppy that had disappeared from his garden more than two years ago after being spooked by fireworks.
He contacted the news desk for Channel 6, which regularly features pet adoptions for the Humane Society of Wisconsin.
SIGHT: Dog howls with joy as new backup singer in Baby’s Band
The coincidence led to “a fairy tale ending” when Payday was reunited with his family and recognized them immediately upon arrival.
