German Animal Shelter Posts Tinder Profiles for Lonely Animals, Hoping for a ‘Purrfect Match’

A German animal shelter started using the dating app Tinder to post profiles of lonely cats and dogs looking for love.

Reuters reported that the Munich Animal Welfare Association hired an unidentified advertising agency to photograph some of their adoptable animals and write some Tinder profiles to help find “the perfect match.”

One of the animals was a black and white cat named “Captain Kirk”.

“Multiple people” have swiped right on Tinder, according to the shelter’s Jillian Moss.

“The answer is crazy, it is exploding everywhere,” he told Reuters.

The shelter has been processing applications and conducting interviews in hopes of finding suitable homes for the single pets, pairing them with lonely humans.
