It’s (almost) the most wonderful time of the year: Black Friday. This year has been weird, but not even a pandemic can stop the best deals of the year. Brands like Tatcha and Glossier have already released their Black Friday plans, and some retailers have even started their sales early. For the Sephora Black Friday sale, on the other hand, the beauty retailer has officially started teasing us with their deals.
On November 19, Sephora released its Black Friday preview on its app’s community page, and oh my, the deals are good, people. The retailer has raised the stakes this year and is offering a myriad of steals from brands such as Living Proof, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Tarte, and Clinique. The store will even be slashing select product prices by up to 50 percent.
In the community sneak peek, you’ll see what the brand will have to offer during its annual sale on the biggest shopping day of the year. It’s a lot and can be overwhelming, so to help, we’ve narrowed it down for you. Here’s everything we recommend adding to your cart this Black Friday at Sephora.
Makeup:
The Urban Decay Honey Naked Palette and Anastasia Beverly Hills’s Sun Dipped Glow Kit are two must-have palettes for simple or super-glam looks. Urban Decay’s is the perfect array of honey-inspired hues that work on all skin tones. And when you dust the Glow Kit into the high points of your face, it leaves skin looking anywhere from a subtle glow to an out-of-this-world blinding effect, depending on how much you use.
We like to think of Tarte’s Clay Play Palette as the ultimate starter eye shadow palette. The neutral-shade kit has every base and transition pigment in matte pigments you will ever need to complete a soft glam vibe. Finish off your eye look with the extremely volumizing Urban Decay Perversion Mascara for lush lashes.
Get your best brows yet with the Benefit Cosmetics Feathered & Full Brow Set. The kit holds a Precisely, My Brow Pencil to fill in any sparse areas, the Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel to keep brows in check, and a mini 24-HR Brow Setter Shaping & Setting Gel to take with you on the go, and Shaping Stencils to give you any guidance you may need. Now that your brows are fluffy, it’s time to amp up those lashes with the biotin-infused It Cosmetics Lash Blowout Volumizing Mascara to help strengthen them as you use it over time.
Skin:
The Clinique Turn It Up, Take It Off is a great deal for its miniature versions of the brand’s staples. Inside the vibrant purple tin box you’ll find the All About Eyes eye cream for diminishing fine lines and dark circles; the clump-free High Impact Mascara, and the Day Off Cleansing Balm for taking off even the most stubborn makeup.
If you’re just looking for a great cleanser, look no further than Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser. Squalane shines in its lightweight formula to keep skin hydrated no matter how much you wash it.
Now that the months are getting colder, your skin needs more moisture than ever. Enter, the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer. With 30 percent hydrating hyaluronic acid, it’s basically a glass of water for your skin. If your skin is more acne-prone, add the Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser to your cart. Its cocktail of salicylic acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid, and jojoba beads to gently exfoliate away dirt and dead skin cells.
Hair:
Don’t let the oil in its name scare you, the Bumble and bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Shampoo won’t make your scalp oily. Instead, its blend of oils (like saffron and sunflower) moisturizes hair and transforms it from dry and brittle to soft and strong. If you’re looking to take your hair-care game to the next level, try the Alterna Haircare Caviar Replenishing Moisture CC Cream to treat damaged hair, smooth frizz, and give you salon-like shine and softness.
The Living Proof No Frizz Instant De-Frizzer does exactly what it says it will: tame frizz. Its oils mimic the ones naturally found in hair, so it never feels crunchy like other defrizzers.
For an at-home treatment, try the dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse. Spiked with apple cider vinegar, the liquid seals the hair cuticle while aloe vera repairs heat damage.
As you can see, Sephora’s Black Friday offerings will be filled with better deals than the last and it has some sales that are too good to miss. If you’re in the U.S. or Canada, your credit card is about to get a workout, and more importantly, your makeup bag is about to get some major upgrades.
